Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have six months of clinical RN experience or completed NC I probation documented on the nursing evaluation tool.
• Active Texas RN license or valid permit to practice in Texas.
• Current BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document daily patient care.
• Identify nursing diagnoses and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and UTMB policies.
• Provide patient/family teaching and health promotion using Teach-Back methods.
• Coordinate and prioritize care with the inter-professional team.
• Support ethical practice, advocacy, and culturally congruent care.
