Additional Information About the Role

The Answer Line After Hours Service provides after-hours exchange and nurse triage services for over 400 subscribing community pediatricians in the St. Louis and surrounding areas. Answer Line RNs utilize triage guidelines, critical thinking skills, and physician preferences to determine the most appropriate plan of care for each patient. These services are provided Monday-Friday from 4:30pm – 8:00am and 24/7 on weekends.

Location
  • Almost all staff work remotely, though we do have office space at BJC @ The Commons, 5th floor.
  • Staff are expected to work their shift in the call center if experiencing connectivity issues at home.
  • Minimum 2-5 years of nursing experience in areas such as Emergency Department, NICU, PICU, telephone triage, or pediatric primary care.
  • Work every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday).
  • Part-time; 8-hour shifts.
  • Shifts may include: Days (7am-3pm, 8am-4pm, 10am-6pm) and occasional Saturday afternoons (12pm-8pm or 1pm-9pm).
  • Holiday rotation required.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience: Relevant pediatric nursing experience preferred.
