Job summary

Assignments are 8, 10, or 13 weeks with guaranteed hours, weekly direct deposit pay, and housing support or tax‑free subsidy. This role offers professional growth, cross‑disciplinary collaboration, and a chance to make a real difference in patients' lives while exploring Maine’s communities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year acute care experience in a hospital setting.
• Appropriate certifications as required for specific position.
• Degree from an accredited school.
• Abide by code of conduct and compliance policies and expectations.
• Ability to communicate clearly and to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Assist healthcare professionals in delivering patient care.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharge, referrals, and psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluate learning needs of patient and family and provide education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

HWS seeks highly skilled healthcare professionals interested in placement with MaineHealth for an 8, 10, or 13 week assignment based on facility need.

What You’ll Do:

• Assist healthcare professionals in delivering patient care
