Job summary

Transitions Counseling and Consulting is seeking a Clinical Supervisor to lead a team of therapists and clinical support staff, providing mentorship and ensuring top-quality client care in a collaborative environment.

The role requires in-person attendance at our Arizona office with a potential 1-2 days remote after 90 days, and opportunities for professional growth in EMDR, DBT, ACT, and more.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in counseling/psychology/social work or related field.
• Licensed by the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners at independent level as LPC/LMFT or LCSW.
• One year of clinical supervision experience preferred but not required.
• Arizona Supervisor Training preferred; if not complete at hire, training should be completed within 30 days (sponsored by our team).
• Provide current fingerprint clearance card issued by the AZ Department of Public Safety and renew as applicable.
• Maintain CPR and first aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Mentorship and supervision of therapists, interns, and clinical staff, tracking supervision hours and files for compliance and development.
• Address patient concerns and ensure high-quality care; participate in a rotating phone-based call schedule (no overnights).
• Provide direct client therapy per agreed schedule with personalized, effective care.
• Collaborate with therapists and clinical staff to support comprehensive treatment plans and positive outcomes.

Education

Master's degree in counseling/psychology/social work or related field

Licensed by AZ Board of Behavioral Health Examiners (LPC/LMFT/LCSW)

Your Role:

• Mentorship and Supervision:
  • Directly supervise and mentor therapists, interns, and clinical support staff. This includes adhering to and tracking supervision policies, hours, and files to ensure compliance and development.
  • Address personnel issues, participate in the clinical interviewing and hiring process, and manage staff training and compliance needs.
• Client and Team Support:
  • Address patient concerns promptly and ensure the quality of care remains at the highest standard.
  • Participate in a rotating phone-based call schedule during hours-of-service delivery, along with other supervisory staff members—note that no overnight hours are required.
  • Provide direct client therapy through evidence-based treatment according to an agreed-upon schedule, ensuring that each client receives personalized and effective care.
• Team Collaboration:
  • Work closely with other professionals, including therapists, interns, and clinical support staff, to ensure the best possible outcomes for our clients.
  • Coordinate care with other professionals to support comprehensive treatment plans and positive outcomes.
• Location: This role requires regular in-person attendance at the designated office location in accordance with an agreed-upon work schedule at the time of hire. A hybrid schedule with 1-2 days remote can be considered after 90 days.

Qualifications

• Minimum master’s degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or related field.
• Must be licensed by the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners on an independent level as an LPC, LMFT or LCSW.
• One (1) year of clinical supervision experience in the behavioral health field preferred but not required.
• Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners Supervisor Training preferred but not required. If Arizona Supervisor training is not complete at the time of hire, training should be completed within 30 days of start date (sponsored by our team).
• Provide current level one fingerprint clearance card issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety and renew as applicable.
• Continuously maintain active Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and first aid certification.
