The University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center invites applications for a full-time Open Rank Clinical Medical Physicist in Radiology General (499B). Candidates must hold an M.S. or Ph.D.

in Engineering, Physics or Medical Physics and be ABR-certified in diagnostic radiological physics by the start date. The role includes QA testing of imaging equipment at multiple sites and teaching residents, medical students, and physics students.

Competenze

• MS in Engineering, Physics or Medical Physics from an accredited college or university.
• Certified by the American Board of Radiology in diagnostic radiological physics.

Mansioni

• Performs acceptance, annual, and routine QA testing on imaging equipment.
• Teaches diagnostic radiology residents and medical students; delivers lectures in Radiological Science programs.
• Advises physicians and technologists to improve image quality and reduce patient dose.
• Participates in the radiation safety program at the UNM Health System and campus.
• Assists in selecting and recommending new imaging equipment; maintains professional contact with peers.
