Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certified Medical Assistant required.
• Minimum of one year clinic experience; phlebotomy preferred; customer service experience preferred.
• Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience in Athena is preferred, but not required.
• BCLS must be received within the orientation period.

Aufgaben

• Acts as collaborative member of the clinical team in providing continuity and quality care to patients. Initiates patient care assessments, gathers vital signs, prepares patient and exam room for procedures, draws up meds and gives injections.
• Answer and return phone calls pertaining to patients' medical/clinical questions and concerns. Schedules patients for diagnostic tests and surgeries; Coordinates with scheduling department and patients regarding tests and surgeries.
• Gathers and records financial and insurance information. Distributes testing and surgery information to patients.
