Job summary

You will participate in phlebotomy when indicated and promote a patient-centered, safe care environment. The role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to safety standards, and ongoing learning within a supportive clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in an office or clinic setting.
• Communicates pertinent patient information to appropriate staff in a timely manner.
• Follows proper safety practices and infection prevention measures.
• Participates actively in department educational activities.
• Demonstrates competency in psychomotor skills.
• Certifications may substitute for education requirements (CMA/MA/RMA/Nurse Aide).
• First Responder - RQI required within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team to promote health and wellness.
• Collaborate with the team to achieve expected outcomes.
• Communicate pertinent data in a timely manner to the patient or setting.
• Promote infection prevention and proper hand hygiene.
• Assist with activities of daily living and record vitals.
• Deliver care with compassionate, respectful relationships.
• Mentor new Medical Assistants and support student learners.
• Support ongoing evolution of the Stormont Vail Health practice model.
• Utilize resources to provide evidence-based, safe nursing services.
