Job summary

Kids for the Future's partner El Dorado Community Health Center seeks a Medical Assistant to join a team-based patient care environment under supervision. The Medical Assistant supports physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants to deliver timely, dignified care within our clinic.

The role involves clinical tasks, vitals, room setup, specimens, immunizations and EHR documentation, with emphasis on communication in a bilingual setting and coordination with the care team.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred for patient interactions.
• Attention to detail in clinical and clerical tasks.
• Competence with basic computer and EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms and assist providers during visits.
• Take vital signs, document data, and assist with procedures.
• Administer vaccines and manage routine patient instructions.
• Handle charting, refills, and follow-up communications.
• Support continuity of care and coordinate with team members.
