Methodist Hospitals in Indiana seeks a Medical Assistant to support the primary care team, handle patient prep, vitals, basic testing, and help maintain smooth patient flow in a busy ambulatory setting.

Under supervision, you will assist with referrals, labs, injections, and procedure support while upholding HIPAA and safety standards. Requires 1 year MA experience, HS diploma/GED, and BLS; certification within 60 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• 1 year Medical Assistant experience required.
• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant within 60 days of hire (if not already certified).
• BLS Certification required.

Responsabilités

• Assist in urgent and emergent medical situations and operate emergency equipment.
• Support patient follow-up processes: referrals, labs, and education materials.
• Manage patient flow to minimize wait times and ensure efficient room utilization.
• Clean, stock, and prepare exam areas and workstations.
• Maintain ambulatory equipment and inventory; sterilize instruments as needed.
• Document patient care information per policies in the medical record.
• Obtain vital signs, identify reason for visit, and prepare patients for visits.
• Perform basic testing procedures (EKG, urine dipstick, pregnancy tests) and administer injections as ordered.
• Prepare and support patients and assist providers with procedures.
