Job summary

Trinity Health’s MercyOne-affiliated clinic seeks a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our team. You will support patient care from preparation to documentation, administer treatments under provider direction, and help coordinate procedures and follow-ups.

Strong communication, teamwork, and adherence to safety standards are essential. The role requires a CAAHP/ABHES-accredited MA program, BLS certification within 3 months, and competency in basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• Must have completed a CAAHP- or ABHES-accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 3 months of hire.
• Mandatory Reporter abuse training to be completed within 3 months of hire.
• Proficient in basic computer skills (Windows, MS Office, email).
• Ability to read/write/understand English and communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care including preparation, vital signs, and documentation.
• Administer medications, treatments, and immunizations under supervision.
• Prepare and organize patient charts, document results, and communicate plans of care.
• Schedule procedures, labs, imaging, and surgeries; inform patients of pre/post-care.
• Coordinate physician schedules and insurance pre-certifications; manage follow-ups.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to policies and ethics.
