Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of Medical Assistant training program with certificate OR 1–3 years experience as a medical assistant, EMT, or CNA OR completion of Northwell Health Medical Assistant training program.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with health care team to coordinate and implement care plans.
• Take vital signs, height/weight, and screening procedures; document in medical record.
• Collect specimens and assist in processing per protocol.
• Perform daily controls/calibration of lab equipment; report inaccuracies.
• Perform ECGs and phlebotomy per orders; follow infection control standards.
• Assist physicians in procedures; ensure patient comfort and proper draping.
• Maintain cleanliness and stocking of examination rooms; manage logs and supplies.
• Assist with pre-visit chart preparation and clerical duties to ensure patient flow.
• Handle filing, insurance forms, financial records, and general office tasks.
