Job summary

Atrium Health is seeking a qualified Medical Assistant to join our Georgia team in Adairsville. The role involves rooming patients, taking vital signs, and performing health screenings, under physician direction.

You will assist with procedures, manage venipuncture and CLIA-waived tests, and support vaccination administration. Strong communication, teamwork and accuracy are essential, with attention to age-specific patient needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of accredited Medical Assistant program or DD214 clinical training in lieu of MA program.
• Current BLS certification as required by Atrium Health divisions.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and record vital signs, medical history and screenings.
• Assist provider with procedures and venipuncture as ordered.
• Perform lab duties including specimen handling and POCT under CLIA guidelines.
• Administer medications and vaccines following rights of administration.
• Maintain clean work environment and coordinate scheduling and referrals.
