Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or equivalent.
• Medical Assistant Diploma and/or National Medical Assistant Certification verifying graduation from a Medical Assistant Program or equivalent military healthcare experience.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients and record history; measure vital signs including BMI and other metrics.
• Verify patient demographics, insurance, vitals and medications; enter data into EHR/EPM.
• Assist with patient check-in/out, greet patients courteously and provide information as needed.
• Collect and document results of CLIA waived lab tests (urine dip, pregnancy, finger stick glucose, etc.).
• Prepare specimens, assist providers, and set up rooms for exams and procedures.
• Administer medications per formulary and follow Standing Delegation Orders.
