Job summary

South Shore Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient flow and clinical operations in a busy practice. The role includes rooming patients, taking vital signs, phlebotomy as needed, vaccines, and assisting with procedures under physician or advanced practice supervision.

The MA will also perform administrative tasks such as scheduling, chart preparation, and coordinating referrals, while maintaining a high standard of patient care and team communication.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in a clinical setting preferred.
• BLS required; CMA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and escorts them to exam rooms.
• Assist with procedures under supervision of MD/NP/PA.
• Take vital signs and document accordingly.
• Coordinate room rotations and front desk duties as needed.
• Contact patients with test results and follow-up instructions.
• Maintain infection control, sterilization, and patient care standards.
