Rochester Regional Health is seeking a Medical Assistant in Wilson to support clinical and administrative duties in the Wilson Family Medicine department. This full-time position requires strong customer service and communication skills, with 40 hours per week and a Monday–Friday schedule.

Qualifikationen

• Associates degree preferred.
• 2 years of pre-hospital care activities or acute/critical care experience preferred
• Strong customer service, computer, and communication skills
• Medical Assistant Certification preferred
• For Elder ONE Employment: 1 year experience with frail, elderly population preferred

Aufgaben

• Clinical Support: obtain and document patient vital signs, history, and screenings; report abnormalities.
• Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, point-of-care testing, and collect specimens for external testing.
• Assist providers and nursing staff during procedures and clinical care activities.
• Review and pend medication refills and provider orders; assist with prior authorizations and patient forms.
• Provide patient education and instructions under provider or RN guidance.
• Maintain exam/treatment rooms and equipment, including stocking, cleaning, calibration, and sterilization preparation.
• Order and track clinical supplies; assemble information packets and support provider communications.
• Patient flow support: check-in/check-out, scheduling, referrals, insurance verification, and phone management.
• Escort patients to ancillary services (lab, radiology) as needed.
• Team & Practice Support: manage medical records, compile data for QA, process payments and non-clinical supplies.
