Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or MA credential from an accredited program.
• Minimum one year of recent experience as a medical assistant in a medical facility.
• National certification (RMA by AMT or CMA by AAMA) and CPR certification.
• Ability to perform EKG, venipuncture, vitals, injections and specimen collection.
• Knowledge of medical office protocols and patient care procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with patient care, charting, and patient flow.
• Perform clerical tasks: appointment scheduling and records management.
• Prepare exam rooms, collect specimens, and assist with procedures.
• Maintain safety according to CLIA/OSHA guidelines and sanitize instruments.
