Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs, EKGs, laboratory specimens and other necessary information.
• Assist the provider by documenting notes, orders and prescriptions in the EMR.
• Prepare and maintain the clinic area, equipment, and supplies.
• Return routine patient calls for prescriptions or test results with proper documentation.
• Coordinate ancillary services and acquisition of medical records.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with regulatory requirements.
• Handle administrative duties: scheduling, filing, insurance forms, and communications.
