Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a Medical Office Assistant (Clinical) in Washington, DC. The role supports the infusion department, handling pre-auths, rooming patients, and chart preparation for clinicians. It is a contract-to-hire position with a 6+ month timeline.

Candidates should have 2+ years of clinical or MA experience, MA registration, and a diploma or GED. EMR experience is preferred. This is an onsite opportunity in Washington, DC with a competitive benefits package.

• MA Registration REQUIRED
• Diploma or GED required
• EMR experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Work in Infusion department supporting a high patient load
• Perform pre-authorizations and prepare patient charts for doctors and nurses
• Enter prescription refills information into the system
• Process first 30% of visits for patients, around 30+ per day
• Assist with light procedures and instrument handling as needed
