Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology.
• Experience with phlebotomy, EKGs, or clinic procedures is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Check schedules and manage patient flow; accompany patients to exam rooms.
• Assist patients with walking, transfers, and preparing for exams.
• Take patient history and vital signs; relay instructions to families.
• Send/receive patient records in compliance with HIPAA and laws.
• Prepare rooms and equipment; maintain infection control and inventory.
• Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, and basic labs; document results.
• Answer calls and provide patient education as directed.
• Obtain lab/x-ray reports and schedule appointments; verify insurance.
