Qualifications

• Completion of an approved Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience.
• Experience with EMR systems and patient data handling is expected.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for visits and assist providers as directed.
• Complete Care Connect EMR documentation and maintain in-basket tasks.
• Maintain clinical environment, equipment, and notify about malfunctions.
• Communicate with patients in a respectful, caring manner.
• Support care coordination and continuity of care with the health team.
• Collect and monitor patient data as directed and ensure data accuracy.
• Adhere to documentation guidelines for chargeable items/services.
• Participate in quality improvement and process optimization activities.
• Provide training and serve as a clinical preceptor for new staff.
