Job summary

Aurora Health Care is seeking a dedicated Medical Scribe to assist physicians and APPs by documenting visits in our EMR system. You will help prepare patients before exams, collect vital signs, and support routine laboratory procedures, all while ensuring accurate medical records and clear patient communication.

Ideal candidates will have formal LPN or Medical Assistant training, strong organization, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced clinic environment at our Wisconsin site.

Qualifications

• Proficient computer skills including keyboarding and EMR systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multi-task with frequent interruptions.
• Ability to develop rapport and maintain positive relationships with patients, family, staff and physicians.

Responsibilities

• Assist physician/clinician in documenting patient visits in the EMR.
• Prepare and room patients, obtain vital signs and health information.
• Perform basic lab procedures per aseptic guidelines.
• Assist in procedures and surgeries as directed by the physician/APP.
• Administer routine medications under orders.
• Prepare and relay patient instructions and referrals as needed.
• Communicate with the health-care team to ensure smooth clinic flow.
• Prepare and assemble medical record documentation prior to visits and ensure completeness.
