Job summary

Eckerd Connects is seeking a Clinical Medical Assistant instructor for the Job Corps program in Pittsburgh, PA. You will teach the clinical curriculum, mentor students, and tailor lessons to individual vocational goals within a structured program.

You will coordinate with counselors and instructors, prepare required reports, and uphold safety and learning standards in the classroom. This full-time role offers benefits and growth within a mission-driven organization.

Qualifications

  • Certified, licensed, or accredited Medical Assisting in the state of employment.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
  • Must pass a drug screen per policy.
  • Employment contingent upon nationwide criminal background check.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Instruct on the Clinical Medical Assistant curriculum per Job Corps requirements.
  • Counsel and motivate students regarding behavior, training, and personal development.
  • Develop supplemental lessons and suggest curricula changes to improve learning outcomes.
  • Individualize curriculum to fit students' vocational choices and maintain counselor/instructor contact.
  • Prepare reports such as hours, requisitions, and monthly evaluations.
  • Maintain a conducive classroom environment for learning.
  • Attend required staff training and adhere to safety practices.

Annual Salary: $45,000

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Instruct on the Clinical Medical Assistant curriculum in accordance with Job Corps requirements
  • Counsel and motivate students regarding behavior, training, and personal development

  • Prepare reports such as student/staff hours, requisitions, and monthly student evaluations

  • Attend required staff training sessions and adhere to safety practices
Qualifications
  • Certified, licensed, or accredited in the state in which the center is located, or accredited by a professional trade organization in Medical Assisting
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record preferred.
  • Required to pass a drug screen in compliance with our Substance Abuse and Drug-Free Workplace policy.
  • Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a nationwide criminal background check.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid Certification
