$3,000.00 Sign-on Bonus

I. Major Responsibilities:

1. Provides patient care, assesses health status, implements care plans, documents interventions, and evaluates patient progress following standard procedures.
2. Coordinates patient flow, prepares patients for examination, takes and records vital signs and EKGs, and assists physicians in clinical procedures, including venipuncture.
3. Performs basic office laboratory procedures such as urinalysis, urine culture, pregnancy tests, throat cultures, and related procedures. Draws blood as required.
4. Returns patient calls, documents in patient records, and ensures laboratory results are communicated appropriately.
5. Maintains records, reports, logs, and other statistical information as required.
6. Performs clerical duties such as typing, filing, scheduling, and making phone calls.
7. Maintains departmental and clinical supplies, manages inventory, and initiates re-supply requisitions.

All responsibilities are considered essential job functions.
II. Position Qualifications:
License/Certification/Education:
Required: Certification as a Medical Assistant within six (6) months of hire, to be maintained thereafter.
Preferred: High School diploma or equivalent plus completion of an accredited Medical Assisting program.
Experience/Skills:
Required: Knowledge of office and laboratory procedures.
Preferred: Minimum three (3) years of relevant experience.
Note: An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for the above requirements if proficiency in the listed responsibilities is demonstrated.
