Job summary

AICA Orthopedics is seeking a Float Medical Assistant to cover 2–3 metro Atlanta clinics across the East Region. You will work with orthopedic physicians, assist with exams, prepare patients, and perform X-ray procedures with training provided. The role requires CMA/RMA or equivalent and NextGen EHR proficiency.

Compensation ranges from $18 to $25 per hour, with a performance bonus and comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance. Must be able to travel within a zone and lift up to 25 lbs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or Military Medical Specialist
• CMA, RMA, or equivalent — or actively working toward it
• EHR proficiency; NextGen preferred
• Reliable transportation — gas reimbursed for zone travel
• Able to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 lbs, bend and stoop regularly
• X-ray certification preferred for higher pay

Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain histories; record vitals so providers aren’t waiting
• Prepare patients for exams and assist with procedures
• Administer injections and prepare medications per orders
• Educate patients on treatment plans and post-visit instructions
• Perform X-rays (training provided) and advise on DME usage
• Manage medication inventory and assist with pharmacy procedures
• Ensure HIPAA-compliant documentation in NextGen before end of shift

The Role

AICA Orthopedics is hiring a Float Medical Assistant across a zone of 2–3 metro Atlanta clinics. Personal injury and orthopedic patients — high volume, acute needs, not routine check-ups

• Work alongside orthopedic physicians, PAs, and nurse practitioners
• X-ray certification moves you toward the top of the pay range — training provided if you don't have it
• Adapt across 2–3 assigned locations based on daily clinic need — same clinical standard at every site

What You'll Do

Patient Care
