Job summary

RegalCare of Greenfield is seeking a Clinical Reimbursement Coordinator to join our team. You will oversee resident assessments and coordinate the MDS process to ensure compliant Medicare and state regulations, while supporting care planning and billing processes.

Qualified candidates are Massachusetts licensed RNs or LPNs with at least 1 year of MDS coordination experience, strong communication, organization, and assessment skills.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts license as RN or LPN required.
• Minimum 1 year experience as an MDS Coordinator.
• Strong communication, organizational and assessment skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and facilitate resident assessments per Federal and State regulations.
• Establish assessment schedules and ensure timely, accurate assessments.
• Transmit assessments to the State of Connecticut Department of Health.
• Coordinate care plans in line with regulatory requirements.
• Initiate Medicare coverage for new residents and handle denials.
• Stay updated on Medicare changes affecting reimbursement.
• Coordinate MDS across PPS and OBRA processes.
• Educate and train nursing staff on MDS processes and documentation.
• Lead care conferences with the interdisciplinary team.
• Ensure current MDS/PPS updates are implemented and staff trained.
• Cross-train between PPS and OBRA.
• Conduct regular resident interviews as required by MDS.
