Description:
Position Purpose:
- In accordance with the Mission and Guiding Behaviors, the Clinical Manager - Hospice is responsible for overseeing and managing the clinical component of the hospice program across all settings (homes, facilities, hospitals). The Clinical Manager manages organization, direction, and staffing according to hospice scope of services and patient/family needs. They oversee the integration and standardization of care throughout Hospice services, aligning with the Mission, Vision, Strategic priorities, Clinical Scope of Practice, Performance Improvement, and Fiscal objectives through coaching and teaching functions.

- Develop staffing plans based on census, productivity, utilization of casual staff, and management systems. Participate in strategic planning, outreach, and community education, working collaboratively to meet cost containment and productivity goals.
- Assist with employee concerns related to communication, performance, disciplinary actions, and HR issues.
- Ensure financial performance and profitability through effective management of budgets and understanding of department contracts in accordance with the Finance Department’s standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in nursing required.
- Licensure / Certification: Valid nursing license in Ohio required. Hospice/Palliative Care Nursing Certification or ELNEC Certification preferred.
- Experience: At least 5 years of hospice or hospital-based palliative care experience, with supervisory or clinical education experience required.
