Job Summary

The Department of OBGYN is seeking a dynamic Clinical Nurse Manager responsible for overseeing daily clinical operations at a multispecialty care site supporting Gynecology, Urogynecology, and Complex Family Planning. This role offers the opportunity to support multiple medical and surgical specialties co-located at 800 Walnut. Consistent with Pennsylvania Abortion Control Act guidelines, this site provides medication-induced and surgical abortions, alongside comprehensive Gynecologic and Urogynecology services. The Clinical Manager will collaborate with the Practice Manager to ensure compliance with Regulatory, Infection Control, Quality, and Patient Satisfaction standards, while maintaining nursing standards and scope of practice. The role involves working closely with Department leadership, Divisional Administrators, Division Chiefs, and Medical Directors to ensure the highest quality of care.

Responsibilities
  • Employee Satisfaction and Engagement: Communicate effectively with the team, build productive relationships, and create a positive work environment. Establish and update work processes and practices. Manage team and individual performance aligning with Penn Medicine's service excellence vision. Responsible for staff development activities including professional development, recruitment, and retention.
  • Clinical Operations: Oversee clinical operations including budgeting (if applicable), project management, strategic and operational planning, quality, regulatory compliance (Joint Commission, CMS, DOH, OSHA), and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Patient Care: Provide oversight to ensure seamless delivery of high-quality care and service through effective processes and tools.
  • Communication: Foster an environment where proactive communication and problem-solving are expected. Establish communication standards to enable high team and individual performance.
  • Learning and Development: Leverage knowledge for competitive advantage and develop team members through research, continuous improvement, performance management, and competency development.
Credentials
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required)
  • Registered Nurse - PA (Required)
  • ACLS or PALS (Required)
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor of Science (Required)
  • 5+ years of clinical experience including RN and leadership roles
