Job description

USPI South Plains Endoscopy Center is seeking a motivated Clinical Manager to join our team. We have 1 OR room, 3 treatment rooms. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in gastroenterology. Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some early mornings and later evenings may be required; schedule subject to change based on surgical schedule and flow of the day.

Job Summary

The clinical manager is responsible for overseeing and developing the ambulatory surgical center’s clinical departments through key tasks such as hiring, evaluating, mentoring, scheduling, and supervision. We seek a professional with proven but flexible strategies to allow for continued growth for the business. A clinical manager should be able to solve problems quickly and effectively using excellent critical thinking skills with emotional intelligence to deal with staff at all levels within the organization. Responsibilities include but limited to

  • Implement staff development programs, quality assurance, monitor budgets for service programs, and work with other members of the management team to communicate effectively.
  • Develop and plan strategies to manage program growth and ensure business sustainability.
  • Generate revenues for clinical services, and have experience in client billings, knowledge and adherence to regulations such as Joint Commission, CMS standards of care, fiscal budgets, and performance improvement.
  • Have great communication skills and be open to working flexible hours.
  • Possess organizational and program development skills, and basic computer software experience such as Microsoft Office suite.
  • Attend all mandatory in‑services and meetings.
  • Attend annual safety and competency education session.
  • Act in accordance with the vision, mission and business of the Center.

Required Skills
Qualifications
  • Graduate of a professional school of Nursing; Bachelor’s preferred.
  • Current uninhibited Texas RN license.
  • Current BLS, ACLS, PALS certification.
  • Three years of operating room/critical care experience.
  • Three years of RN management experience; outpatient surgery area a plus.
  • Good command of the English language, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work well with physicians, employees, patients, and others.
  • Knowledge, skills, and abilities of a Staff Nurse required for this position.
  • Familiarity with State and CMS regulations for accreditation of outpatient surgery or hospital.
