Job summary

Tri-State Orthopaedic Surgeons is seeking a Clinical Manager to oversee daily clinic operations. The role reports to the Director of Operations and supervises Medical Assistants, Certified Surgical Technologists, Registered Nurses and Clinical Assistants to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care.

You will partner with physician owners and APPs, develop policies, manage staffing and payroll, and ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA and Medicare.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; post-secondary education preferred
• Prior leadership experience preferred
• Experience in a orthopedic setting and/or multi-provider clinic strongly preferred
• Strong leadership, communication, and relationship building skills
• Excellent organizational, problem solving, and project management skills

Responsibilities

• Daily management of the Clinical Operations including oversight of staffing, training and development, payroll, scheduling and performance management
• Works in conjunction with Physician owners and Advanced Practice Providers to ensure quality patient care is delivered
• Makes clinical decisions, when necessary, about patient flow
• Works in conjunction with the Director of Operations to establish and implement policies, objectives and procedures for clinical teams
• Ensures clinical operation is in regulatory compliance with all governing agencies or bodies (OSHA/HIPAA, Medicare)
• Oversight of clinical supply ordering, inventory and processes
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiencies
• Promote a culture of exceptional customer experience
• Oversight of physician call schedule

Work Environment/Physical Demands

Professional orthopedic clinic and medical office environment with frequent interaction with physicians, providers, staff, and patients. Fast-paced setting requiring the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality and regulatory compliance. Occasional travel between clinic locations may be required. May be exposed to communicable diseases, bloodborne pathogens, bodily fluids, and other potential health hazards common to healthcare settings. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided and required as necessary. Requires prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and walking. Frequent use of computers, telephones, and other office equipment. Must be able to communicate effectively, move throughout the facility, and occasionally lift or move up to 20 pounds. May be exposed to common healthcare-related environmental conditions. Ability to respond effectively in stressful situations and make timely decisions in a dynamic healthcare environment.
