Job summary

Center for Orthopaedics LLC. is seeking a Clinical Manager to oversee the daily operations of the clinical and radiology portions of the practice. You will lead a diverse team, implement policies, and drive staff development to maintain high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities include recruiting, onboarding, scheduling, evaluating staff, and ensuring HIPAA compliance and safety across the clinics.

• Oversee all aspects of the clinical portion; work with physicians, staff, and vendors to ensure optimal performance.
• Provide leadership and availability for clinical staff issue identification and resolution.
• Point of contact for patients regarding clinical operational issues.
• General management of clinical staff and providing constructive feedback as needed.
• Participate in development and implementation of operating policies and procedures, training protocols and appropriate education of staff.
• Recruitment and hiring of employees to ensure departments are staffed with qualified personnel.
• Onboarding of new employees to assigned departments including introduction, training and performance evaluation.
• Collect time off requests, monitor attendance and coordinate staffing coverage.
• Conceptualize workflow, develop plans, evaluate workloads and implement appropriate action to increase efficient and quality services.
• Motivates employees to peak productivity; conduct monthly/quarterly department meetings.
• Participation in administrative activities including weekly/monthly meetings; present requested information.
• Performance management of all assigned staff including introductory and annual evaluation, coaching and disciplinary procedures.
• Works with Physicians and admin team to meet organizational needs in all areas of the practice.
• Maintains cost savings via clinical supply ordering.
• Ensure safety and health of the work environment per local/state/OSHA regulations.
• May perform Medical Assistant or Nurse functions under physician direction.
• Conducts self as a positive representation of the company.
• Observes HIPAA confidentiality.
• Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.

Job description

GENERAL SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES: The Clinical Manager is responsible for overseeing all day-to-day activities for the clinical and radiology portion of the organization, as well as developing the organization's clinical departments through tasks such as standard practices, hiring, evaluating and scheduling. The Clinical Manager is also entrusted to manage various interdepartmental operations to ensure the efficiency of the clinics and patient satisfaction necessary for the group to function.

SUPERVISION EXERCISED: Assigned clinical staff at Center for Orthopaedics

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Accountable for being knowledgeable and understanding of all aspects of the clinical portion of the practice; work with physicians, staff and vendors to ensure optimal performance.
2. Provide leadership and availability for clinical staff issue identification and resolution.
3. Point of contact for patients regarding clinical operational issues
4. General management of clinical staff and providing constructive feedback as needed.
5. Participate in the development and implementation of operating policies and procedures, training protocols and appropriate education of staff.
6. Works with Human Resources in effective recruitment and hiring of employees to ensure departments are staffed with qualified personnel
7. Onboarding of new employees to assigned departments to include; introduction, training and performance evaluation
8. Collect time off requests from assigned, monitors attendance and coordinates staffing coverage.
9. Able to conceptualize workflow, develop plans, evaluate workloads and implement appropriate action to increase efficient and quality services.
10. Motivates employees to achieve peak productivity and performance; providing leadership/management and support to include motivation, supervision and evaluation; conduct monthly/quarterly department meetings.
11. Participation in various administrative activities including weekly and/or monthly meetings; ability to present requested information as required.
12. Performance management of all assigned staff to include introductory and annual evaluation, coaching and disciplinary procedures when necessary.
13. Works with all Physicians and members of the administrative team to ensure organizational needs are met in all areas of the practice.
14. Works with other departments responsible for clinical supply ordering to maintain accurate levels and optimize cost savings.
15. Ensure the safety and health of the work environment in accordance with all local, state, and OSHA federal regulations.
16. The Clinical Manager may need to perform any of the functions of a Medical Assistant or Nurse include assisting in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician.
17. Conducts self in a manner that reflects a positive representation on the company and encourages others to do the same.
18. Observes strict patient confidentiality in dealing with patients and maintains HIPAA compliance.
