We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and compassionate pediatric Clinical Manager to be a part of our team. We require 3 years of pediatric nursing experience and 2 years of nursing management experience.

This opportunity is full-time and travel among our three locations (Centennial, Littleton & Parker) is required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

Operations/Leadership

• Presence at all locations each week.
• Oversees Vaccines for Children (VFC) program at all locations, including ordering, returns and tracking.
• Ensures adequate VFC and private vaccine supplies at all offices.
• Manages all VFC regulations and requirements for all locations, including site audits.
• Manages refrigeration excursions for all sites and trains clinical staff to assist.
• Completes vaccine returns and refunds.
• Oversees Epic lot manager for all locations.
• Oversees weekly documentation of vaccine refrigerator/freezer data loggers.
• Participates in multiple committees.
• Ensures SDS documents up to date and within compliance.
• Manages inventory and purchases clinical supplies for all locations.
• Researches and ensures best pricing from vaccine and other medical supply vendors.
• Oversees clinical staff management of inventory of lab supplies at all locations.
• Tracks inventory of clinical handouts, including ordering and stocking.
• Provides coverage for Director of Nursing during time out of the office.

Communication

• Utilizes clear and concise communication with patients and their families, direct reports, providers and colleagues.
• Facilitates and promotes interoffice communication with front desk, billing, medical records & administration departments.
• De-escalates issues with parents/patients by employing accepted techniques and in accordance with company values. Develops these skills in Clinical Coordinators and other team members
• Maintains records pertaining to clinical staff competency, quality audits and other related records.
• Assists in performing initial 90-day and annual reviews for all clinical staff.
• Ensures completion and tracks incident reports and worker’s compensation claims for clinical staff.
• Oversees timecard editing and makes final payroll approvals for clinical staff at all sites and tracks attendance.
• Assigns and tracks required compliance education for new and refresher for clinical staff.

Collaborative Duties (in partnership with Director of Nursing)

• Provides leadership in clinical problem solving and resolving clinical staff issues and concerns.
• Supervises patient care by clinical staff through direct and indirect monitoring of interactions with patients, families and coworkers. Addresses parent concerns with patient care.
• Co-leads regular clinical staff meetings and contributes to all other practice meetings.
• Provides direction and oversight of Clinical Coordinators.
• Reviews triage protocols, establishes triage training requirements, monitors productivity of triage nurses.
• Onboards and offboards staff as required.
• Assists with planning, scheduling and execution of mock codes at all sites.
• Works with front office staff, billing, providers and clinical staff to create a cohesive work environment.
• Oversees all federal regulatory requirements and associated training (VFC, CLIA, OSHA, HIPAA).
• Evaluates needs and schedules clinical training, clinical competency checks and continuing education to maintain the best and most current nursing practices.
• Generates ideas for improved efficiency, cost containment and state-of-the-art nursing care
• Participates in initial and annual performance reviews of clinical staff at all locations.
• Provides input on development and modification of standards of care, policies and procedures.
• Ensures clinical policies and procedures are being followed at all sites and are uniform throughout the practice.
• Manages and oversees weekly tasks delegated to Clinical Coordinators at all sites, while providing direction and guidance to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner.
• Manages and collaborates on clinical projects as they arise.
• Contributes to regular meetings with providers, Clinical Coordinators, staff and other leadership team members to foster relationships that build trust.
• Reviews and updates clinical handouts (in collaboration with physicians) to ensure accuracy & consistency.
• Equitably shares weekend and after-hours call including response to all urgent in person needs.

Other Tasks

• Functions as Epic clinical superuser to facilitate training and support team.
• Submits online tickets for IT and EHR performance issues.
• Ensures cleanliness, organization and good repair of clinical areas.
• Schedules building maintenance and repairs as needed.
• Orders and tracks employee uniforms.
• Otherduties, as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Directly supervises Clinical Coordinators and clinical staff at three locations (35-40 employees).

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Registered nurse licensed in the state of Colorado.
• Minimum 3 years of pediatric nursing experience.
• Minimum 2 years of nursing management experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to interpret technical procedure manuals and government regulations.Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from physicians, management, vendors, patients and the public.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.Ability to apply a variety of technical instructions and deal with abstract and concrete variables.Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. PAY & BENEFITS

Annual pay range: $75,000 - $105,000

Exempt, full-time (5 days/week) + occasional Saturday mornings, paid holidays after 90 days
