As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you’ll assist in facilitating the flow of the office by acting as a liaison between the physicians and patients by working directly with the providers to provide high quality customer service and clinical care.
- This is a full-time role involving rotating weekday shifts and a rotating weekend schedule.
- The position primarily works with one provider, so we are looking for an adaptable team player who is willing to contribute wherever needed.

Selected Responsibilities:
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information per HIPAA laws
- Escort patients to and from exam rooms, physician offices and treatment rooms
- Triage patients as necessary
- Record patient data prior to each physician’s visit, including but not limited to, vital signs (temperature, pulse, blood pressure, respiration), height, weight, head circumference, allergies, and medication changes
- Obtain necessary patient records as required by physician and verify consent prior to treatment or procedures
- Assist physicians with exams and a wide variety of procedures, including but not limited to injections, dermatologic procedures, pelvic exams, EKG’s, eye exams, managing dressings, POC lab tests, and performing x-rays (training provided)
- Administers medications orally, vaginally, and rectally, subcutaneously, intramuscularly, and intradermally. Administering prescribed drops to the nose, eye, and ear, applying antibiotic ointments to the inside of the lower eyelid
- Prepare and stock exam/treatment rooms and order supplies as needed
- Maintain proper disinfection protocols
- Schedule patient tests, procedures, and follow-up appointments
- Complete prior authorizations for medications and diagnostic imaging
- Complete all forms used by the provider, including but not limited to, growth charts, MPE, pap forms, cytology-pathology forms, etc.
- Phone in prescriptions and distribute proper medications as ordered by the provider
- Administer vaccines and injections
- Other duties as necessary (ECGs, peak flow, spirometry, POC testing such as strep, COVID, flu, RSV, and HCG…)
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED, required
- Graduate of accredited practical nursing program, required
- Current LPN licensure in appropriate state, required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification, required
