Job summary

Palomar Health Rehabilitation Institute is seeking a Clinical Liaison to support inpatient rehabilitation admissions in Escondido, CA. This full-time role focuses on developing referral networks, coordinating intake, and delivering on-site clinical judgments for admission decisions.

The position requires clinical licensure (RN/PT/OT/SLP/RRT/LCSW) and a bachelor’s degree, with preferred marketing/sales experience and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Clinical licensure (RN/PT/OT/SLP/RRT/LCSW) required with bachelor’s degree.
• Previous marketing/sales experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Build referral relationships to drive appropriate admissions.
• Assist and coordinate intake and pre-admission screening.

• Explain rehab/facility options to patients and families and set expectations.
• Secure information on patient resources and benefits.

How You'll Contribute

A Clinical Liaison who excels in this role:

• Builds and maintains referral relationships to drive appropriate admissions to the hospital
• Assist and coordinate in‑take and pre‑admission screening process
• Perform on‑site (typically in referring facility) clinical judgment to determine appropriateness of patient for admission
• Communicates to patients and family's rehabilitation and facility options. Communicates to patients determined appropriate for admission the patient's expectations and requirements for participation
• Secures information relating to patients' resources and benefits
• Functions as initial contact for external case management and discharge planner personnel with payors and hospital facilities

Salary range:

$91,000-127,000 plus bonus potential

What We're Looking For

Applicants should have a Clinical Licensure (RN, PT, OT, SLP, RRT, LCSW) and a bachelor's degree. Additional requirements include:

• Previous marketing/sales experience preferred
• Previous clinical experience preferred with demonstrated skills in clinical assessment and EMR systems
• Formal Sales Training preferred
• Valid driver's license
