Job description

Clinical Liaison – Lincare

This role involves interacting daily with hospital case managers, physicians, and respiratory therapists to deliver and set up O₂ portability, ventilators, percussion vests, CPAP devices, nebulizers, and other DME items for patient discharge. The liaison provides education, insurance criteria, and documentation requirements, and ensures equipment and programs available to benefit patients and facilitate discharge.

Essential Functions

• Stock vehicle daily with necessary equipment, disposables, documentation, and marketing literature.
• Make rounds to contact case managers at assigned facilities, conveying discharge equipment needs.
• Communicate with center throughout the day on O₂ discharges to schedule SR for home set up of equipment.
• Understand and communicate coverage criteria to case managers and patients.
• Complete set up paperwork daily for all delivered equipment; assist with CMN and chart note billing requisitions.
• Perform equipment set‑ups (ventilators, monitors, CPAP units) in a timely and professional manner.
• Provide patient education and conduct patient assessments according to Lincare policies.
• Maintain current knowledge of respiratory homecare techniques and therapy concepts.
• Follow safety & regulatory policies (OSHA, DOT, FDA, Emergency Planning).
• Represent Lincare through professional appearance and patient care activities, including written reports.
• Facilitate prescription collection; maintain accurate patient records in compliance with accreditation standards.
