Job summary

MediLodge of Livingston, a leader in long-term care and rehabilitation, seeks an admissions-focused professional to manage pre-admission assessments and referral networks. You will collaborate with discharge planners, physicians, and social workers to streamline admissions.

The role requires strong communication and leadership, with experience in admissions or marketing within senior care. On-site position with community outreach and event coordination opportunities.

Qualifications

• Willing to accept non nurse candidates with a background in marketing.
• Graduate of accredited school preferred.
• One to two years of experience in admissions in long term care industry.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-admission patient clinical assessments.
• Routinely visit primary referral sources and interested parties.
• Collaborate with hospital discharge planners, social workers and physicians on admission process.
• Visit existing patients in the hospital.
• Create and distribute brochures and facility information.
• Market facility to expand referral sources and market area.
• Plan and coordinate events to enhance staff, resident and community relations.
• Coordinate with facility staff for authorization of managed care reimbursements.
• Communicate with insurance personnel to ensure adequate reimbursement before initiation of services.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Job Functions

• Perform community outreach to healthcare professionals and community groups to network and generate referrals/admissions.
• Plan and coordinate functions to invite referral sources to facility-works with facility Marketing Directors.
• Plan and coordinate special events which enhance staff resident and community relations.
• Act as a liaison for quarterly joint marketing functions.
• Periodically visit competition to complete competitive analysis and update market plan.
• Research, analyze and evaluate new healthcare programs and events, availability in designated areas and facility use potential.
• Develop additional relationships with influential people within the senior community.
• Coordinate with other facility staff the subsequent authorization of managed care reimbursed patients as required.
• Communicate with insurance personnel in a timely manner to ensure that adequate reimbursement can be obtained prior to initiation of services.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.
