Labcorp is seeking a Technologist Trainee to join our Molecular Diagnostics team in Westborough, MA. You will receive patient samples, perform DNA extractions, and help ensure instrument functionality in a fast-paced lab.

New grads are welcome; full training provided. The position offers a Tue-Sat shift (12:00 PM - 8:30 PM) with pay ranging from $26.00 to $36.00 per hour and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO, tuition reimbursement and stock purchase

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology.
• 3+ months of clinical laboratory testing experience; ASCP or AMT certification preferred.
• Proficient with computers; Familiarity with laboratory information systems.

Technologist Trainee

Labcorp is seeking a Technologist Trainee to join our Molecular Diagnostics team in Westborough, MA.

Work Schedule

Tuesday -Saturday 12:00 PM - 8:30 PM

Job Responsibilities

• Receive patient samples into the lab for extractions
• Perform automated and manual DNA extractions from patient samples
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality
• Maintain internal documentation for all steps of the processes as outlined in SOPs
• Troubleshoot assays and reagent qualification issues
• Contribute to ongoing process improvement efforts
• Coordinate work assignments and be able to prioritize independently
• Participate in a team approach to workflow management of the lab
• Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures
• Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary
• Assist with processing of specimens when needed
• Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology

Preferred Qualifications

• 3 months or more of clinical laboratory testing experience
• ASCP or AMT certification

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of education requirements listed above, non-traditional degrees with applicable science credits that meet CLIA standards may meet education requirements
• Understanding of laboratory operations as well as policies and procedures
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Proficient with computers; Familiarity with laboratory information systems
• High level of attention to detail along with strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to handle the physical requirements of the position
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needs

Pay Range

• Pay Range: $26.00 - $36.00 per hour

All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.

Benefits

Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
