Position Overview

Labcorp is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our RIA team as Technologist Trainees in Burlington, NC. This role offers an exciting opportunity for both new graduates and experienced professionals to work in a dynamic, customer-focused environment aligned with our mission: “Improving Health, Improving Lives”.

Work Schedule & Benefits

Schedule: 1st shift, Saturday-Tuesday, 8:00am-6:30pm.

Training & Responsibilities

• Receive full training, suitable for new grads.
• Determine specimen acceptability based on established criteria.
• Perform routine and complex testing procedures following departmental SOPs.
• Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation.
• Make technical decisions regarding testing and troubleshooting.
• Prepare and evaluate reagents and controls.
• Report accurate, timely test results to support patient care.
• Perform preventative maintenance and quality control.
• Manage testing supplies and assist with specimen processing as needed.
• Maintain a safe work environment with appropriate PPE.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Biological sciences, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or a related field meeting local regulatory requirements.
• Previous testing experience is not required.
• ASCP or AMT certification preferred.
• Ability to work independently and in teams.
• Proficient with computers; familiarity with laboratory information systems is a plus.
• Attention to detail, strong communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to pass a color vision test.
• Flexibility to work overtime or alternate shifts as needed.
