Job summary

United Health Services (UHS) in New York's Southern Tier seeks a Laboratory Technologist for night shift to perform routine and specialized tests, monitor lab processes, and verify results.

With six years' experience, you may direct daily activities in the absence of the supervisor according to UHS policies, NYSDOH, CDC, and Infection Control procedures; minimum requirements include a BS in clinical laboratory technology and NYS licensure, with ASCP certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum Required: Bachelor’s degree in clinical laboratory technology or equivalent. (Grandfathered NYS Licensed CLT).
• Preferred: One year experience working in a clinical laboratory.
• Minimum Required: NYS Licensed Clinical Laboratory Technologist.
• Preferred: ASCP Specialty Certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and specialized tests in assigned laboratory sections.
• Monitors lab processes and verifies results.
• Directs daily activities in the absence of the supervisor according to policies and procedures.
