United Health Services is seeking a per diem Medical Laboratory Technologist in the Core Laboratory, UHS Binghamton General Hospital. The role involves performing routine and specialized tests, monitoring processes, and verifying results, with potential to direct daily activities in the absence of the supervisor.
Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in clinical laboratory technology, NYS Licensed CLT (grandfathered), and preferred one year of clinical lab experience; NYS license is required;
In the Laboratory, under limited supervision, performs routine and specialized tests in assigned laboratory sections in a timely manner, monitors lab processes, and verifies results. With six (6) years’ experience, may in the absence of the supervisor, direct daily activities of his/her section according to UHS Hospitals’, Laboratory and Departmental Policies and Procedures, NYSDOH, CDC, and UHSH Infection Control Policies and Procedures.

This is a per diem position, which means you will work on an as needed, agreed upon basis. Working hours will be assigned by your manager.
$30.58 - $45.86 per hour, depending on experience
This position is not eligible for benefits.
Minimum Required: Bachelor's degree in clinical laboratory technology or equivalent. (Grandfathered NYS Licensed CLT). Preferred: One (1) year experience working in a clinical laboratory.
Minimum Required: NYS Licensed Clinical Laboratory Technologist. Preferred: ASCP Specialty Certification.
