Job summary

Pride Health is seeking a Laboratory Generalist to perform comprehensive clinical testing across multiple departments in a day shift assignment. The role includes phlebotomy, specimen processing, and ensuring quality across procedures.

Applicants should have a CLS/MT credential (ASCP or equivalent) and a Bachelor’s in MLS or related field; associates accepted for grandfathered personnel. Epic EMR experience is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field; associate accepted for grandfathered personnel.
• Current CLS or MT certification through ASCP or equivalent.
• New MT graduates must pass certification within 6 months of start date.
• Strong hands-on experience as Laboratory Generalist with phlebotomy.
• Strong Epic EMR experience is mandatory.
• Experience with common analyzers preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform general lab testing across hematology, chemistry, coagulation, microbiology, urinalysis, and related areas.
• Perform phlebotomy and collect/process specimens from patients of all ages.
• Evaluate and resolve issues related to specimen collection, processing, and testing.
• Perform complex procedures and investigate deviations from expected results.
• Analyze quality control data and take corrective actions to maintain accuracy.
• Operate and monitor laboratory instruments and review indicators and temperatures.
• Respond to inquiries about test results, methods, and factors affecting results.
• Participate in evaluation and implementation of new techniques and equipment.
• Maintain and revise procedures; assist with reference intervals as needed.
• Maintain competency in procedures, equipment, and skills; support quality standards.
