Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Lab Technologist in Dublin, OH to support a rotating schedule (Wednesday–Sunday, 12:00 AM – 8:30 AM) performing a variety of routine and complex laboratory tests and instrument maintenance.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in a chemical/biological science or MLS degree with 1+ year of lab experience; ASCP/AMT certification preferred; color vision and flexibility for shifts are expected. Pay ranges from $25.85–$35.00 hourly with benefits.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology.
  • 1 year or more of clinical laboratory testing experience OR an MLS degree.
  • ASCP or AMT certification preferred.
  • Non-traditional degrees with applicable science credits may meet CLIA education requirements.
  • Understanding of laboratory operations, policies and procedures.
  • Experience in a high-volume laboratory environment.
  • Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.
  • Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.
  • Make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.
  • Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls.
  • Report accurate and timely test results to deliver quality patient care.
  • Perform and document preventative maintenance and quality control procedures.
  • Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary.
  • Assist with processing of specimens when needed.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and wear PPE.

Labcorp Technologist – Dublin, OH

Work Schedule: Wednesday – Sunday, 12:00 AM – 8:30 AM (rotating holidays)

Job Responsibilities

  • Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.
  • Make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.
  • Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls.
  • Report accurate and timely test results to deliver quality patient care.
  • Perform and document preventative maintenance and quality control procedures.
  • Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary.
  • Assist with processing of specimens when needed.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology.
  • 1 year or more of clinical laboratory testing experience OR an MLS degree.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3 months or more of clinical laboratory testing experience.
  • ASCP or AMT certification.
Additional Job Standards
  • Non‑traditional degrees with applicable science credits that meet CLIA standards may meet education requirements.
  • Understanding of laboratory operations, policies and procedures.
  • Experience working in a high‑volume laboratory environment.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Proficiency with computers; familiarity with laboratory information systems.
  • High level of attention to detail with strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle the physical requirements of the position.
  • Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.
  • Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needs.
Pay Range

$25.85 – $35.00 plus shift differential.
