Job summary

Labcorp seeks a Clinical Lab Professional to join Ascension Sacred Heart in Pensacola, FL. The role supports high-volume testing with 4x10s shifts from 8:30pm to 7am, offering a $10,000 sign-on bonus for external candidates.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in a chemical or biological science (MLS acceptable), FL MT license, 1+ year lab experience, and preferred ASCP/AMT certification. Flexibility for overtime and strong data/computer skills are valued.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Biological sciences, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology.
• Licensure: FL Medical Technologist (MT) license.
• Experience: 1+ year of clinical lab testing experience OR MLS degree.
• Preferred: ASCP or AMT certification.

Responsibilities

• Determine acceptability of specimens for testing.
• Perform routine and complex procedures per SOPs.
• Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot instrumentation.
• Prepare, test, and evaluate reagents or controls.
• Report accurate test results to support patient care.
• Perform preventive maintenance and quality control.

LabCorp is seeking a Clinical Lab Professional to join our team at Ascension Sacred Heart in Pensacola, FL

Work Schedule

4x10s 8:30pm- 7am

Week 1: Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat ; Week 2: Sun , Mon, Tues ,Wed

Job Responsibilities

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality
• Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.
• Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls
• Report accurate and timely test results in order to deliver quality patient care
• Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures
• Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary
• Assist with processing of specimens when needed
• Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology
• 1 or more years of clinical laboratory testing experience is required OR an MLS degree
• FL Medical Technologist (MT) license

Preferred Qualifications

• ASCP or AMT certification

• In lieu of education requirements listed above, non-traditional degrees with applicable science credits that meet CLIA standards may meet education requirement
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Familiarity with laboratory information systems
• Proficient with computers
• High level of attention detail along with strong communication and organizational skills
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needs
