Job Description:

Job Title: Clinical Laboratory Technologist

Location: New York, NY

Schedule: 40 hours/week

Shift: 12a-8a, 8a-4p, 4p-12a

Contract Length: 13 Weeks

Pay Range: $2650.00- $2724.00 Weekly DOE

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Clinical Laboratory Technologist who performs complex laboratory tests to help physicians diagnose, treat, and prevent disease. They are responsible for analyzing body fluids, tissues, and other substances while ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and timeliness of test results. This role requires adherence to strict protocols, regulatory compliance, and quality control standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests on blood, urine, tissue, and other specimens.
• Operate and maintain sophisticated laboratory equipment and instrumentation.
• Analyze, interpret, and validate test results to ensure accuracy.
• Record and report test results clearly and promptly to healthcare providers.
• Conduct quality control procedures and participate in proficiency testing.
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with laboratory and regulatory standards.
• Adhere to safety protocols to minimize risk of exposure and contamination.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care.
• Assist in training new staff or laboratory interns, as required.

Required:

• Experience: 1-year Clinical Laboratory Technologist experience.
• Certification: BLS
• License: Valid license to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist issued by NYSED
