Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to join our team at Ascension SE Wisconsin Hospital - Franklin in Franklin, WI. The role is on 1st shift, 5:30am - 2:00pm, Monday through Friday with rotating weekends and holiday rotation.

Responsibilities include performing a range of technical procedures, operating and troubleshooting instruments, and ensuring timely, accurate test results to support patient care. A ASCP/AMT certification is preferred; Associates degree required.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology.

Responsibilities

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental SOPs.
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.
• Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.
• Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls.
• Report accurate and timely test results to deliver quality patient care.
• Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures.
• Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary.
• Assist with processing of specimens when needed.
• Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate PPE.
