Job Description

In this position, you will work in a fast-paced, customer-focused, and challenging environment, contributing to our mission: “Improving Health, Improving Lives”.

Work Schedule

2 x 12 hour shifts: (Weekdays 9:00 AM – 7:30 PM) every other weekend

Job Responsibilities

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures according to departmental SOPs
• Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality
• Make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving
• Prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents or controls
• Report accurate and timely test results to support quality patient care
• Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures
• Identify and replenish testing supplies as needed
• Assist with specimen processing when necessary
• Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate PPE

Requirements

• Associate degree in Chemical or Biological sciences, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or meet local regulatory (CLIA & State) requirements
• Previous clinical lab testing experience preferred
• ASCP or AMT certification preferred
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Proficient with computers; familiarity with laboratory information systems is a plus
• High attention to detail, strong communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to pass a standardized color vision test
• Flexibility for overtime or shift changes based on business needs
