Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in clinical laboratory science or related field required.
• California Clinical Laboratory Scientist License required.
• Six months related experience required.
• Ability to read and write simple instructions and memos.
• Willingness to work in a Labor Management Partnership environment.

Responsibilities

• Verify that the proper specimen is analyzed for the correct patient and test.
• Analyze clinical laboratory specimens per standard methods and perform quality control.
• Use reference ranges to determine reasonableness of results and confirm testing on all critical values.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and calibration of lab instruments.
• Record repairs, maintenance, and calibration in logs; release results per SOP; train lab assistants.
• Provide supervision of Lab Assistants and Clerical Personnel as required; support corporate compliance.
