Qualifications

• Req Bachelor's Degree in Related field.
• Req Specialized/technical training: California CLS license or California Specialty (Limited).
• Req 1 year prior CLS training/experience including QC, calibration and inventory control.
• Pref 1 year Point of Care Experience.
• Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs manual, semi-automated and automated analyses in Biochemical, Hematological, Microbiological and Blood Bank areas.
• Recognizes normal/abnormal/critical results and acts per policy, considering patient age.
• Maintains proficiency in clerical/computer functions and communicates results.
• Ensures results are available within defined turnaround time.
• Trains personnel and participates in QA and continuing education.
• Maintains safety/infection control practices and inventory.
