Job summary

Emanate Health is seeking a qualified Clinical Laboratory Scientist to perform standardized tests in the assigned laboratory section. You will obtain specimens, prepare them, and determine specimen suitability for requested tests, while preparing reagents and calculating results.

You will review results for accuracy and maintain records, and discuss methods with the supervisor. Some duties may include supervisory responsibilities and evaluating new methods.

Qualifications

• Current California MTA CLS license.
• Grace period for license renewal.
• MTE license required if working in ICH Clinical Laboratory Scientist – Microbiology.
• Must work every other weekend.

Job Summary

Performs a variety of standardized tests, including advanced and specialized tests appropriate to the discipline of the assigned laboratory section. Obtains specimens where necessary. Prepares the specimen and decides the suitability of the specimen for the requested test. Prepares reagents. Performs tests, determines and calculates results. Reviews results for accuracy. Maintains proper records. Discusses methods and general procedures. Investigates alternative procedures, where appropriate, and reviews results with the supervisor. May assume supervisory capabilities in the absence of the immediate supervisor. Evaluates new test methods and instrumentation.

Job Requirements

• Minimum Education Requirement :
• Minimum Experience Requirement : Excellent customer service skills required.
• Minimum License Requirement : Current California MTA CLS license. A sixty-day grace period for renewals is granted to allow the Department processing time. The licensee is allowed to practice his/her trade beyond the license expiration date through the end of the grace period. A minimum of a MTE license required if working at ICH Clinical Laboratory Scientist – Microbiology department.
• Must work every other weekend Delivering world-class health care one patient at a time.

Pay Range: $64.00 - $64.00
