Job summary

The University of California - Los Angeles Health is seeking a Per Diem Clinical Laboratory Scientist to contribute to high-quality laboratory services in the Emergency Department, Anesthesiology, and Core Laboratory. You will handle specimen processing, method development, testing across multiple areas, instrument maintenance, quality control, and data entry.

This position primarily covers the day shift, with additional coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• Current and valid California CLS license.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Availability to work weekends and holidays.
• Recent demonstrated technical competence in high volume chemistry/hematology.
• Must pass the Ishihara Color Vision exam, i.e., color differentiation.
• Two years of recent experience performing testing in a high volume laboratory, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process specimens and support method development.
• Perform testing across multiple areas.
• Maintain instruments and perform quality control.
• Enter data accurately.

Salary Range: $78.99 - $78.99/hour (flat rate)
