Arkansas Children's Hospital in Springdale, AR is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Scientist at levels I–III to support patient care with expertise in laboratory testing, data collection, and quality control. The role emphasizes mentorship of new staff and collaboration with the Technical Chief.

You'll perform complex procedures, oversee specimens, ensure timely results, and participate in EPIC Charge review and CPT coding processes as part of daily operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required for the Laboratory position.
• 6 years of related work experience preferred.
• Certification options include MT-AMT, MT-ASCP, or MT-NCA.

Responsabilités

• Train new employees and students.
• Oversee data collection and liaise to Pathology.
• Perform laboratory procedures and record results.
• Manage specimens and communicate critical values to caregivers.
• Perform quality control, proficiency testing, and QC/IQCP tasks.
• Maintain/calibrate instruments and troubleshoot system malfunctions.
• Oversee section supply chain and CPT updates in EPIC.

Performs maintenance and/or calibration procedures on laboratory instruments and/or equipment then troubleshoots instruments and/or test system malfunctions.9. Identifies normal vs. abnormal results; communicates and documents critical values to the appropriate caregiver.10. Oversees section supply chain.11. Provides CPT updates, EPIC Charge review, coding discrepancies/worklist, etc.12. Performs other duties as assigned.
